Eric Mau started in the commercial construction products market following his graduation from the University of Iowa in 1985. He spent 9 years working for USG and a large acoustical distributor in Chicago promoting specialized architectural products. Mau, Inc. was started in 1994.
With over 30 years in the commercial construction market, Eric is very familiar with all aspects of the design and construction process. His experience includes helping clients with acoustical solutions and design ideas, as well product recommendations and installation techniques. Mau, Inc. has worked with architects, designers, sub-contractors and general contractors specifically in the Midwest area since 1988.
To give back to the industry, Eric has involved himself in the Ceilings & Interior Systems Construction Association (CISCA). He has been on the Board of Directors and also served as President from 2013-2014. The reward for this commitment has been an ever-growing knowledge of this industry along with an expanded contacts and resource base throughout the country.
With a degree in Economics from Lake Forest College, Eric brings over 20 years of sales experience to the Mau Inc. team with an expertise in Wood Ceilings and Wall Systems. Eric’s consultative sales method, attention to detail and tenacious follow up allow for a successful project from early design to final installation working with architects, designers, sub-contractors, general contractors, construction managers and owners in the Great Lakes Region. Eric joined Mau Inc in June of 2014.
Carter Mau graduated from The University of Iowa in 2018. His focus is Architectural Sales in Chicago with a goal of developing and maintaining the strong business relationships that have helped Mau Inc. succeed. Carter joined Mau Inc. in February of 2019.
Mark Deacon graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Michigan State University in 2017. Mark’s previous experience involved selling and producing large scale events at an International Tradeshow Production Company. Mark brings the experience of meeting strict deadlines and takes pride in being creative, organized, and responsive. Mark joined Mau Inc. in April of 2019.
Charlie is the newest member to the Mau Inc team. After graduating from the University of Iowa, he worked in the commercial construction industry for 6 years as an estimator/PM. He cut his teeth in the highly competitive Chicago market and then moved to Denver to help grow the ceiling business for a market leading Ceiling Contractor. He brings a wealth of knowledge regarding acoustical and specialty systems ranging from wood, metal, felt, and wall panels. He has been an active participant in the Ceilings & Interiors Systems Construction Association (CISCA) during his time in the industry and will continue to give his support to the organization.
From the contracting side, Charlie has been involved in a variety of complex projects and difficult installations with a focus on specialties. During his time there, he helped sell and implement over $30 million worth of metal ceilings at a high profile Transportation project, an ongoing project that will remain a major milestone for Colorado in the years to come.
Charlie was hired by Mau Inc. in March of 2019 and will be the representative for our Colorado, Wyoming and Montana Territory.
